The aim of this web site - and our work - is to promote better understanding - and treatment - of the cats that live in our residential compounds. It shocks many expatriates that these animals roam, scavenge and breed around our homes like vermin. And, despite the cost - and the supposedly modern standards - that we have for our accommodation, there remains a truly third world attitude for dealing with these cats. Pets, abandoned or stray cats, and feral cats all become potential prey for Pest Control; regularly trapping and culling them, when their numbers increase.
It doesn't have to be like that.
We've been studying the causes of the cat problems to create long term solutions that are more effective and more humane.
If you care about cats, please take the time to learn more about their situation and what you can do to help change things
for the better.
